Odd procedures.
I saw my dentist last week for a teeth cleaning. When I called to make an appointment since they never called me I found out why they had such stupid procedures on how long you had to wait before you could make your next appointment. My old dentist let me make appointments as soon or as late as I wanted. I was shocked and semi annoyed when I was told I couldn’t make the appointment then that they would call me in 3 months to make an appointment for 3 months after that. <_< Yeah I know... When they never called I called them and found out why their stupid rule is in place. It seriously doesn’t make sense. I pay my dental insurance month by month so at any given time I can cancel it. It seems they are afraid that people will make their 6 month appointment and then cancel their insurance before their appointment. Oh no what ever shall they do with all of those empty appointment?! Does anyone else see the flaw in their way of thinking? If they feel that way then should I only be allowed to make an appointment for that month? Think about it. Ten people, like myself, make an appointment for a date in 3 months. A month later they all cancel their insurance. What’s this? Appointments in the future being broken? That’s the whole reason why they put their stupid silly a** rule in the first place! The only way to solve the problem would be to keep a month by month appointment book. <_<
My appointment went well except for the fact the dentist they brought in to check a tooth that’s a bit chipped went from one extreme to another. I know I grip my teeth. I know that it can and probably is part of the reason why I have headaches. I am not going to wear braces. I am not going to pay $425 bucks for a mouth guard. I will do nothing since unless the tooth has a cavity they will not fix it for a reasonable price. The amount they want is more then my car payment! Yeah, for 5 minutes of the dentist’s time they want me to pay them over 300 bucks to fill in a tooth. It’s not visible so screw it. The guy kept talking about juggling balls, which of course made me giggle, and how this chipped tooth seems to be one ball I can’t handle, which made me giggle again. I’m thinking to myself, as he keeps going on and on about juggling balls and how much my body can handle and talking about leaving it alone and then about braces or surgery, “Will this guy ever shut up so I can get my teeth cleaned? I get it; juggling balls, bad for my health and giving me headaches. Shut up! Go away! God, please have someone tell him he’s needed somewhere else!” He was only there for 5-10 minutes, but it felt like I was there for an eon. I think it was karma getting back at me for not flossing everyday like they told me I’m supposed to the last time I went. Damn karma. I’ve been flossing everyday in hopes I never have to see him again. XD
I guess the highlight of the day would be when I saw the girl who went over the cost of what the recommended I did gained a crap load of weight. It made me feel better about the two pounds I gained that I’ve been trying to get rid of in the same amount of time. :) I refuse to get any bigger though since that would be going up a size. That is not an option! Fight-o Oh!
My weekend went very well though. I came into work on Saturday, which is always fun. Whenever I tell people they always feel sorry for me though. They give me this “pitiful you” sort of look like I just said my dog died or something. Why? The traffic is amazing so I get to speed to my hearts content, I get to order lunch from Quiznos, I adore their flat bread salads, which is always too busy when I go to lunch during the week, listen to my music as loud as I want, I get to sing along to songs I want to, walk around the building in my socks and I get to turn the heater/ac to the temp I like it at. :) It’s rather fun. Speaking of singing along with songs; there was a woman in the waiting room who kept singing along with the radio they had piped in. I don’t really care for their music to begin with, but to have a woman sing off key and in a semi loud voice was just that more annoying. I kept my mouth in check though and just concentrated on my game of Zuma I was playing.
Once again though I come up with this bright idea to make a game for Animanga Network and don’t give the people who are helping me pull it off very much time to respond or react. For someone who loves planning you’d think I’d give myself and others more time. Thank God I have a great group of friends and staffys who are always ready to help me out when I need it! XD I’m uploading the prize like a mad woman and since I have a great cable net connection so it’s going pretty smoothly. Since I won’t be announcing the game for another day I’m sure I can get everything ready for the game. I’m more afraid of there being no one willing to participate or people whining about the list being too hard. I think I’d cry if no one wanted to play.
I had to break my resolution though, but I’m hoping to at least put up a half chapter from KWP tonight. I don’t have anything planned and unless I get in an “I don’t wanna do jack crap.” sort of mood I should be able to do it.
It's pretty embarrassing to be singing along when there are a lot of people around because sometimes we go out of tune or we mixed up the lyrics, my brothers always laugh at me if I do that.. I had a dentist who came to my school to give the students a dental check-up, who told me "You have a cavity in your teeth, if you don't fix it, your boyfriend will leave you" or something like that. The way he said it was funny but it was in Malay, so the translation is not so funny. Anyway, he said it so loud that my classmates waiting in line was laughing and they kept on repeating that line to me for the whole week.
