My 4 day weekend.
I must admit that I could have definitely gotten used to staying at home and doing absolutely nothing. It was very fun. XD I did some things, like release part B for Antique Bakery, downloaded drama episodes to upload for Animanga and washed a load of laundry, but I pretty much didn’t move from my in front of my TV. I played my phone games (Zuma and Tetris Mania) while watching TV and snacking on food I bought specifically for my days off. I was also pretty surprised I only wondered about work three times during my four days off. Normally if I’m sick or I have a three day weekend I worry all of the time. Are my co-workers ok? Did something come up with my job? Is a flood of calls coming in? Is there a ton of mail that a co-worker of mine has to sort and distribute? Are people going through and touching my stuff? Most of my worries came from being the receptionist so maybe that’s why I wasn’t so worried. I called on Friday because we were getting a new receptionist and I was worried about her not showing up. The co-worker who answered the phone laughed at me and told me to just enjoy my vaca. I took her advise and other then worrying a couple times on Monday about people touching my stuff I didn’t actually miss working. Pretty odd considering I always miss working. XD
While I was on vacation I happened to notice Mars on the Azn channel. It was cool to see it subbed, but I was a bit surprised that some of the names were spelled differently then what I watched. I was even more surprised to see a commercial in English right after it. I mean you don’t see English commercials on Spanish channels, so why would they be on Asian ones? It’s geared towards those people who don’t speak English so aren’t the people paying for the commercials wasting their money? Then again it was for that “Help, I’ve fallen and can’t get up.” thing so maybe it’s a phrase that anyone can understand, even if you don’t know English?
Since I take my lunch during one of the worst times when it comes to what’s on TV, I have a choice of cheesy soaps or Cops on our company TV, so I’ve been loving the fact I have a cubical even more. I’ve been burning CDs of anime and bringing it to work to watch during my lunch break. Lately I’ve been watching one of my favorite anime series, Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex Season 2. I love the whole series and the movie. I would totally love to own a Tachikoma! They have optical camo (ability to cloak) so I could easily go past stopped traffic, which would have been very handy this morning, and are equipped with all sorts of things like “spider silk” that could help me avoid accidents and since it’s an AI that can think for itself, but readily takes orders to who it’s loyal to I wouldn’t have to worry about it getting stolen like a car. XD I’m not usually into Si-Fi action mecha series, but I really like this one and the movie. It’s very well thought out and is believable that it could happen if we evolve enough. :)
Hello Katrina! XD Maybe your holiday is over already by now, but i hope you enjoy your days off. =D
