My mom always did say not to stare at people...
Now it's not a habit of mine to stare at people. I find it rude so I always try not to do it, no matter what they might have on, look like, etc. I just couldn't help it this time though. So here I am in the parking lot going to a store and there's this guy on the bike I would give my left leg for if I wasn't such a gimp, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14. (For those of you who were able to read my blog on that I'm sure you know how much I love it.) It looked just amazing. I mean totally blow my mind away beautiful. I've never seen one THAT close before so I was probably drooling a little too. :) hehehe
So here I am sitting in my car just starring at this bike, who has the rider still on it, not moving like I should be or anything thing. The lines, curves, color and style just calling out for me to check it out. I finally come to my senses and I quit starring and find a place to park. Well...*cough* it seems the owner thought I was checking HIM out. Um...yeah... How do I know this? Oohhh because since he thought I was checking him out he parked and called out to me. It was SOOOO mortifying! I mean how do you explain to a guy that you weren't checking him out and that he could be a troll for all you cared, but damn he has a sweet bike! Luckily for me I was able to smile and put the convo on track to his bike. It was really interesting listening to him since even though the reviews are by people who've got to ridden it it's not really first hand. Most aren't taking it out on the streets and stuff where I would ride it. Sadly though I wasn't good or mean enough to outright tell the poor guy "Dude it was your bike, not you." so I ended up with his phone number since I made the wonderful excuse of having to get my shopping done.
So there you have it readers! The number 1 rule of why you shouldn't stare at people! It's not because it's rude. It's not because "your face will stay that way". It's because guys/girls might think you're looking at THEM when you're really checking out their ride! I've learned my lesson and I will never ever EVER be doing that again. God I'm sure I turned bright red...I about died!!
Well onto other not mortifying news! I've read half of my Our Kingdom volume 3 so far and the translations are pretty good. I'm not so surprised since it seems yaoi publishers have better translators or something, but it's a nice feeling knowing I'm buying something that I won't have to push myself through to finish. I've only read the first chapter of volume 4 of Antique Bakery, but it's getting REALLY good! I suggest if you liked the series when Beautiful Soup was doing it then you buy the volumes. It really is very well worth the money!! :) Also the wonderful Cyn has given me TWO more wallpapers of Jun! YUUUMMMM!!! I've traded out the darker one from the forum as my home desktop. Just sooo many pics to drool over!! XD He is just so seriously good looking! Well that's it for today. I'm going to head in very early tomorrow to do my Starbucks and manga "chilling" before work again. This time I need to remember to bring my cell phone in with me so I don't have to just guess when it's 15 'til. XD
