Pitch Black.
So I DVRed The Chronicles of Riddick and finally got around to watching it. Personally I liked the
movie. Sure it wasn't perfect, but I would have been willing to pay the normal movie theater price to
see it...if I could be assured that no snot nosed brats would be bugging me that is. I can't say that
about most movies I rent or DVR.
So why the title Pitch Black? Because after seeing The Chronicles of Riddick I got to start thinking
of Pitch Black. I seriously love that movie and it's one of my all time favorite scary movies. It played
on one of my biggest fears, the dark. It really comes from my sister who would tell me scary stories
and then her and her friends would spend the night scarring the crap out of me. I then started
having an over active imagination when the lights would turn off. Who cares if no one was in your
room when the lights were on a second ago. That was a second ago and could have easily changed
if the killer/rapist/etc. is smart enough. Don't believe me? Well you better hope to God that someone
who's been trained in the military to get in and out without being seen or heard in seconds doesn't go
all fruit loop and decide he/she's had enough and is going to rid the world of people one by one.
Oddly enough though I need the room to be as dark as possible for me to sleep well. Pitch Black
is really perfect since I sleep the hardest and best. Right now I'm having a slight problem, which
should be fixed once I buy a level tomorrow to put up some curtain rods. I bought some curtains
which is supposed to get rid of 99% of the light that shines through. Considering the small amount of
light I'm trying to block 99% would make the room almost pitch black.
I have a problem with Pitch Black though. The whole concept of the movie is that these
creatures on this planet can't stand any light. They stay underground since it's day light all of the
time except after X amount of time which it goes pitch black for x amount of time. Then it's feeding
time baby! If you have yourself a light source and you're safe. As long as light is around you and
you're safe. The rest is a huge spoiler for those of you who haven't seen the movie, but might be
interested in it so I've made it the same color as my background. So why did
SHE die? Seriously she was in the f****ing light!! He had her, she was supposed to be safe!! I
screamed it at the movie in frustration and I still don't understand. I mean to kill off the woman they
destroyed their basic concept of the creatures. Suddenly they were ok with light as long as they got
to grab something to eat. So why didn't they do that to the others. It's not like they had a huge light
source before. I just don't get it. Does anyone else know why they killed her off when they didn't
have a soild reason to? If you do please leave a comment or send me a note.

Yeah i got the three disk collectors edition of all three of the movies I liked them all, but the chronicles of riddick let me down, i thought it could have been a lot better.
